What Thea Loved about Yerevan

Our talented volunteer Thea Spring from France prepared this animated video on many of the "localisms" that captured her attention during her time in Armenia.

"I have always used drawing to process new visual and auditory encounters and these last five months in Armenia have filled my notebooks exponentially more rapidly than before.

When the Birthright Armenia team learned that the Madenataran Museum at which I volunteered was closed on Mondays, they directly found a way to let me immerse myself in what I adore. The freedom I was given, thematically and stylistically, filled my experience with sweetness and I am thankful I was able to begin my last weeks in Yerevan this way. Beyond its meditative aspect, creating a short video of drawings allowed me to reflect on my time in Armenia in a much more cohesive manner", says Thea
