A Journey of Connection and Kindness in Armenia

1 min read

"What can one person offer another, aside from a mere glimmer of warmth? And what could be more profound than that?"

An excursion that unfolded a different perspective of Armenia. Nothing hinted at the captivating amalgamation of myself, my team, and Yerevan on that December day. While a traditional tour of Yerevan was on the agenda, what transpired was a once-in-a-year occurrence! To preserve an air of mystery, I'll only share the tales of the people we encountered.

First and foremost, my team: Selene from AVC, Dayna, Teni, Ella, and myself. Our remarkable team embarked on this journey together! Each of us played a distinct role, offering inspiration and guidance despite the unpredictable weather in Yerevan.

Then, there was Mrs. Gayane, who graciously assisted us in finding the necessary details and shared delightful stories about her big Armenian family. In the heart of the city, we met two Russian tourists who pleased us with a joke, did not lose hope, and continued our way. Their kindness was truly appreciated.

The excursion took an unexpected turn. From the outset, it wasn't an ordinary tour; it was an immersive dive into the heart of Yerevan. With each new task, our understanding deepened, even as we communicated in Russian, English, and French.

The gracious Mrs. Asmik stands out, offering her assistance with a genuine interest in fulfilling our requests, providing valuable advice, expressing gratitude for our interest in our homeland, and showering us with many warm words.

By the end, fatigue had set in, but I held onto the warm feeling that lingered within me for a long time. I appreciate every experience gained at BR, but this one stands out as a unique and enriching encounter."
