It is a special feeling to find this look far away from the motherland, among others, and hear your mother tongue that warms your heart. Something reminds you about the mental bond. Diaspora is making us who we are thanks to the opportunities it has. Surprisingly, we balance out in the society we live in but at the same time base our decisions, actions, and reactions on our genetic code. Armenian culture leaves its marks on us and in everything we do. This explains the phenomenon of why people of different religions and confessions know Armenia without being there.

Being far away from each other doesn’t separate Armenians, they have strong bonds, interested in making more connections and sharing their stories. All together it makes a great impact on Armenian society and Armenia. Diaspora’s knowledge and experience and future prospects can play a key role in a country's promotion. The connection between Armenians from different countries would make public relations stronger, to better understand our mentality, feel the heritage of the Armenian civilization and power, and fight for many years against breakdown, deprivation, and persecution.

In the fast-changing world, it is important to keep the tradition of Armenians of different countries interacting with each other, to strengthen connections in social and cultural fields. The first priority should be Armenia, as it said in the beginning, Armenians all around the world, using their knowledge, experience and professional skills can make a big difference in Armenia. It unites people both in Armenia and outside of it.

Birthright Armenia

At the moment, there are several programs in the Armenian diaspora and in Armenia that focus on closer cooperation of Armenians around the world. One of these programs is Birthright Armenia. This is a unique opportunity to get to know the country better, meet other Armenians from the diaspora as well as intern in a chosen field. People are coming from every corner of the world but they have a common purpose and passion to immerse in Armenian culture and meet locals.

Birthright Armenia allows its volunteers to dig into social and cultural life and see the inside situation in the country. It is an amazing feeling to discover the country from this perspective. The stories of participants and civilians are a cultural experiment and an interesting journey. Armenia and the Armenian nation is an exceptional phenomenon, a proof that the Armenian spirit can stand any difficulties, people want to unite and form a great country as it used to be.

Each of us is a small part of a great power. Power of Armenia.
