In the backdrop of continued work by our participants to support the national war effort and its aftermath, on December 5th, we paused for a day, lending a helping hand on International Volunteers Day. This year, we spent the day at an elementary school in Masis―beautifying one of its external walls and entrance gates. Volunteers designed the mural and painted the creative shapes. Our excitement and the vibrant atmosphere attracted the school children who joined us in giving their school a bright face-lift.
All Armenian Volunteer Corps and Birthright Armenia volunteers LOVE engaging in community service projects like this and are always happy to work together with Armenia’s local communities. This is why such projects are an inseparable part of our program. We're proud that our volunteers often initiated, design, and help realize such projects.
Have an idea for a similar project in Armenia? Apply today and come volunteer with us! Who knows? Maybe we can help you make it into reality.
