Frequently Asked Questions
Forum sessions are presentations at our office and visits to other venues. We invite guest specialists in various areas including: Armenia's economic and cultural development, the business sector, the environment, healthcare, politics, education, arts, etc.
Havaks are informal gatherings, sometimes with the participation of local youth, during which Birthright Armenia participants share experiences, discuss their emotions, learn to prepare Armenian dishes, practice authentic Armenian folk dances, and much more.
Volunteers who meet our travel reimbursement policy eligibility are required to attend a minimum of 50% of the organized forums and a minimum of 50% of the organized havaks. Non-eligible volunteers are encouraged to participate in as many as they can.
Yes, there will be a lot of other volunteers from different parts of the world. You will have a chance to interact with them during various program components and outside of the program too.
